30B430 Book #8 Catching Fire

 I'll be honest. The second that I put down The Hunger Games, I immediately started Catching Fire. Immediately. And since I happened to have a road trip this past week, I finished the book between the six hours spent in the car each way.


I'll try not to give away too many spoilers, but this book finds the characters back in the Hunger Games, with the stakes raised from the first time around. Think Survivor: All Stars. Meanwhile, revolts and instability are happening around the country.

This book started a bit slower than the first one, but definitely picked up and was equally emotional and exciting throughout. It also dug a bit deeper into the Katniss-Peeta-Gale love triangle. Because every good tween book series needs a love triangle.

On to Mockingjay, the third book. I'm definitely interested to see how this whole thing turns out.
